Job Description

Requirements:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Information Technology.

  • Relevant Information Technology experience with a successful track record.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT server and network systems.

  • Experience within a Microsoft, HP, or Cisco environment.

  • Minimum of 6 months’ VoIP telephony experience.

  • MS Infrastructure, Networking, and Firewall certifications are preferred.

  • Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide efficient and effective infrastructure support across servers, networks, telephony, and security.

  • Provide telephonic, remote, and onsite IT support at a 1st, 2nd and 3rd line level telephonically, remotely, and onsite.

  • Install and configure networking, telephony, Windows Server, hardware, software, and applications in line with best practices.

  • Provide OS-level and network-level troubleshooting and resolve hardware and networking issues.

  • Configure, optimise, fine-tune, and monitor operating systems, firewalls, network devices, applications, and cloud services.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, VPN, and APN environments to maximise network and server performance.

  • Secure network and server systems by implementing IT security policies and monitoring access.

  • Schedule and manage firmware and patching for networks, phones, servers, and applications.

  • Log network faults, server and service issues, conduct investigations, and resolve problems across local and wide area environments.

  • Ensure supported hardware and applications comply with licensing agreements.

  • Manage service suppliers and contracts within prescribed SLAs.

  • Point of contact for ICT Support Engineers requesting incident escalation

  • Attend to ICT support requests and ensure timely resolution within prescribed SLAs.

  • Determine infrastructure requirements, plan and provision resources, and implement solutions and improvement plans.

  • Liaise with third-party vendors to resolve incidents, problems, and queries while managing SLAs.

  • Lead ICT projects involving office moves, service planning, scheduling, rollout, implementation, and workstation, mobility, network, and server deployments.
